Assorted Brushes Good quality makeup brushes are just as important as makeup itself. Applicators included with most makeup kits are simply not right for the job. Poor quality blush brushes are usually too small and too coarse to enable you to properly apply makeup. This is why you see some women with unattractive stripes of blush that look like racing stripes across their faces.

We cannot emphasize enough the value of good quality makeup tools. It is not an area to skimp on. When properly cared for, good brushes can last many years. You will get a more natural and longer lasting look, and have greater control of your makeup technique.

If you have a limited budget, start with just three or four basic brushes, such as, blush, eyeliner, eyebrow and shadow. Then add on from there. Here are the basic brushes:

Blush Brush
  • Blush Brush ~ Medium full round brush. Tapered slightly at the sides for more blending control.
Sable Sponge Applicator
  • Sable Sponge Applicator ~ A large sponge applicator brush to be used for blending. (works well for the mature woman)
Large Contour
  • Large Contour Brush ~ For placement of the lightest shadows over the entire area.
Small Contour
  • Small Contour Brush ~ For placement of medium to darker shadows in the crease of the eye.
Fluff Brush
  • Fluff Brush ~ For blending overall colors together.
Eyeliner Brush
  • Eyeliner Brush ~ A small firm round brush rounded to a point.
Small Angle Brow Brush
  • Small Angle Brow Brush ~ A firm nylon brush to create the eyebrow shape.
Lip Brush
  • Silver Retractable Lip Brush ~ For the application of lip color. Use the cap for hygiene and portability.

TIP: To clean brushes, use a household liquid soap or baby shampoo. Create a lather in your hand with warm soapy water and gently agitate until clean. Gently squeeze the excess water from the brush, reshape brush and let air dry.

TIP: We recommend storing your brushes in either a "roll up" brush kit or a mesh brush bag. This will protect and extend the life of your brushes.
